My goal as a photographer is to capture life from a very real, candid and relaxed perspective.
Expressions that are happy, smiling, crying, grumpy or timid are all very much a part of what makes us unique and should be celebrated.
Often forgotten or overlooked details...tiny baby feet, curve of a pregnant belly, a favorite book, the wonderfully unexpected details of life...
When you are able to capture one detail at just the right moment, it becomes a recorded story in your life and in your history.

While formal / traditional portraits have their place, the majority of my work centers on "in the moment" images that are captured while your family is relaxed, comfortable and having fun. You will never feel rushed or pressured and I will not ever ask you to say "cheese!" while standing in front of fake greenery...such pictures almost always look generic and forced. While I offer "posing" suggestions and will guide your session to create the best possible photographs for you, it is very important to capture each family's individuality and as such, no two sessions are ever the same.
I have amazing rural venues available for shooting your session that are all within a few miles from the City of Madison. I also offer location suggestions based on the specific mood and overall tone you desire and am available to shoot in your home within the Tri-County area.
